Farpoint VR gameplay feels like you’re literally on another planet, stranded and gun in hand ready to fend off bugs
Farpoint was revealed at E3 2016 and is one of the most anticipated games for gamers this year. If you are lucky enough to have tried playing Farpoint in conjunction with the PS VR Aim Controller at the demo, then you’ll know why it this is the game us gamers are looking forward to.
Developed by Impulse Gear, Farpoint is a sci-fi shooter developed exclusively for Sony’s virtual reality device PlayStation VR. In it you are stranded in a weird, alien like planet while you search for the rest of your crew after an unfortunate crash landing. You will explore the hostile desert planet that’s littered with bug type enemies. Blowing them up as you search for the rest of your crew.
According to Pure PlayStation, the storefront changed the official PlayStation VR Farpoint release date to May 16, 2017. However, This information appears to have been removed from the page listing, so it’s worth taking the news with a pinch of salt.
We’ve been lucky enough to play Farpoint, and the Aim controller genuinely makes it so incredibly immersive that we just cannot wait to get our hands on one. Impulse worked with Sony to create the PS VR Aim controller, which not only means great things for the release of what could be the best game on VR. It means the future of FPS gaming is looking bright.
